441: buffalo Feb 22, 2016

Between books, graphic novels, and movies pertaining to the Wild West, it is hard not to come across the mention of buffalo. Buffalo is more a nickname that came from early French explorers in the Louisiana Territory who called the animals, "les bœufs", which is a 'bull'.
